LETTER: Unreliable mail delivery is becoming a bipartisan problem

Letter to the editor

Lately I have found that the local mail delivery is beginning to be a bit unreliable. There are times when the mail truck is not seen in my neighborhood for three days.

We are hearing varying reasons for this recent issue with the mail. The one thing you do hear is that it is a result of deliberate decisions within the USPS chain of command. The fact is that all Americans are dependent on reliable mail delivery. Many of us actually watch for the mail delivery each day. There are checks to be delivered, medicine to be delivered, and all the items that we are ordering to be delivered so that we don’t have to make a store visit during this pandemic. This is impacting everyone, not just people from one political side or the other.

NJ election 2020 will be mostly by mail:  Here's how it will work

U.S. Postal Service carrier Amy Bezerra loads mail, including an Amazon package, into her delivery pouches along her route in suburban Denver.

I am not sure if this is intended to shed doubt on the election ballots in November or there is some other unknown reason, but this is clearly becoming a bipartisan problem. At this point the the only intended result I see is that we are all getting upset over this level of mail delivery service.
