2 shot just hours apart in Wilmington Thursday evening, police say

Two men were injured just hours apart in separate shootings in Wilmington on Thursday, police said.

The first shooting occurred just before 6:45 p.m. in the first block of Cedar St. Responding officers found a 34-year-old man hurt.

He was taken to a local hospital, where police said he was listed as "stable."

The second incident occurred just before 9 p.m. in the 200 block of South Heald St., a little less than 2 miles from the first shooting.

There, officers found a 43-year-old man seriously injured. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
